Who Writes the Health Articles on Our Blog?

Every article on our health blog is written by the Florida Urgent Care Centers Care Team, the staff of our walk in clinics in Haines City and Plant City, Florida. We answer the questions patients ask us every day, check each answer against CDC, NIH and FDA guidance and update articles when that guidance changes.

About the team

Who is the Care Team?

The Care Team is the Florida Urgent Care Centers team behind our Haines City and Plant City urgent care clinics and on our $59 TeleVisits.

We treat the everyday sicknesses and injuries covered on this blog, from sinus infections and pink eye to sore throats, blood sugar and thyroid checks. That front line view shapes what we write: short, direct answers first, then the detail, then clear signs that mean it is time to see a doctor.

Editorial standards

How do we write and review each article?

Every article follows the same steps before it goes live and every time it is updated.

StepWhat we do
1. Pick the questionWe start from real questions patients ask at our clinics and the searches people in Central Florida run before a visit.
2. Check the sourcesFacts, numbers and treatment guidance come from public health agencies and medical bodies, never from other blogs or product sellers.
3. Write in plain EnglishA short answer comes first, followed by detail, a table where it helps and a clear list of warning signs.
4. Cite everythingEvery article ends with its sources, linked so you can read the original guidance yourself.
5. Review and updateWe review each article at least once a year and sooner when guidance changes, and the updated date at the top changes with it.

Who writes the articles on the Florida Urgent Care Centers blog?

Our articles are written by the care team at Florida Urgent Care Centers, the walk in clinics in Haines City and Plant City, Florida. Each topic comes from questions patients ask us at the front desk and in the exam room, so the answers focus on what people actually want to know.

Are your health articles medical advice?

How often are articles updated?

We review every article at least once a year and sooner when the CDC, NIH, FDA or another source we rely on changes its guidance. The date at the top of each article shows when it was last updated, so you always know how current it is.

How do I report a mistake in an article?

Email info@flurgentcarecenters.com with the article link and what you think is wrong. Our team checks every report against current guidance, fixes confirmed errors and updates the date on the article. Medical questions about your own care should go to a clinician instead.
