FAQs

Questions about women's health care

Still unsure? Call (813) 717-SICK and our team will help.

Is bacterial vaginosis an STD?

No. BV happens when the normal balance of bacteria in the vagina changes. Sex can raise the risk, but it is not considered an STD.

Can I get birth control online in Florida?

Often, yes. On a $59 TeleVisit a doctor can review your health history and prescribe birth control when it is safe for you.

Do I need a pelvic exam to get birth control pills?

Usually not. Most people can start the pill after a health history and a blood pressure check.
